That is what I have been…sick…sick …sick…and now I’m tired. I’m tired from hugging the commode on a cold ceramic tile bathroom floor, and sick of occasionally sitting on the “throne” with a bowl on my lap. I’m sick from moving from the couch to our bed and back again for 3 days….and I am REALLY sick of not being able to eat!! Finally, yesterday I called Dr. Erik, our GP, and he set me up some great magic pills to stop the nausea and barfing…THANK YOU , DR. ERIK..YOU ARE A GOD MAN!!!
So, since I have been flattened by the flu bug the past few days, my usual boring photos are non-existent…(which may be a boon to many of you.) I was trying to think of where I could have picked up this mean, ravaging, demeaning bug, but Hey!..what can you expect when you shop, grabbing germy grocery carts previously fingered by little varmints with gross little hands…or shopping at Aldis, where you must insert a quarter to get a cart and then retrieve someone elses quarter when you put your cart back…Not to mention wading into the Walgreens clinic area…where green putrid faces await the clinician to dose ‘em up and send them home…THEY ARE OUT THERE PEOPLE…GERMS!!….AND SOMETIMES WE CANNOT AVOID THEM…All I’m sayin’ is that, at age 64, I just cannot move from the cold ceramic floor to the commode as fast as I used to …just sayin’…
And so now, I have an excuse for relying on some old photos to fill in this space…and these that follow are some more I chose from our Alaska trip in 2002…I cannot believe it was 10 years ago…
I kept a journal and made it into a 62 page book when we got back..The title?? It was “Ice Down The Cooler And Get In The Truck..A Road Trip To Alaska”..what else??
Next time I promise my more current and usual boring photos…As far as I am concerned, Alaska photos are NEVER boring….AND…I will be entirely shed of this jungle rot I have acquired!
“Keep close to Nature's heart... and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.”
~ John Muir
