I won't bore you with the details , but I had my 7mm kidney stone "blasted" last week...Now I have a meteor shower of fragments to pass, but at least they are much smaller. I also noticed my mood has improved since I had that done. I know that infections can cause mood swings, and I suspect I did have a touch of an infection after carrying that stupid stone around since last August. I am hoping to continue feeling better and by the way...LET'S GET THIS SPRING THING GOING!!
This has really not been a bad Winter..I had to quit whining, because I know for a fact it could have been a lot worse! I am managing to handle it by going through some of our travel photos..
Here are a few photos taken at Falcon State Park, Falcon Heights, TX
We took this trip January, of 2009
The birding there is amazing..and they sure weren't afraid of us!
The Javelina weren't frightened either...THEY frightened ME ! The first time they wandered into our campsite, I was sitting outside..I promptly ran inside!!
One of our favorite things we did while in the Rio Grande Valley was visit Los Ebanos, TX. This is where they have the only remaining hand pulled ferry. This ferry crosses a VERY narrow spot of the Rio Grande between Los Ebanos and Gustavos Diaz Orgaz MX.
Yep, that thar is Mexico on the other side..
The little town of Los Ebanos was named after the Ebony Trees there..Here is the huge Ebony Tree that the wire cord which carried the ferry is wrapped around...
When we were there, they were working on it, and there was a cute little store to get stuff at..I'm not sure if it is still there. This ferry operates only when the owner decides he wants to..The day we were there it was not operating..
OK, enough of my travel log..My biggest frustration is not finding any cool things to blog about here at home..I have been waiting patiently for Spring so I could watch our grandsons play in their sports..track, baseball, all that good stuff!. Two of the Heiser kids are also in the Spring Musicals this year, and the older brother is a track runner. Our two Wolff Cubs in Zionsville are in soccer, flag football, running...anything sports..So I do have that to look forward to!!
I have also been enjoying coffee with my YaYas on Tuesday mornings!
Usually there are 4 of us, but one of us (the LUCKY one) was in Florida for the Winter..GRRRRR!
OK... Hey, at least I managed to pull this off...kind of..I am not good at blogging lately, but will try to get better at it...Thanks for checking in..
